Visit of Shri Mohammad Afzal, Joint Secretary (Hydro), Ministry of Power, Government of India, accompanied by Shri Bhupender Gupta, Hon'ble Chairman & Managing Director, NHPC to CVPPL, Jammu 06-Feb-2026

Shri Mohammad Afzal, Joint Secretary (Hydro), Ministry of Power, Government of India, accompanied by Shri Bhupender Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, NHPC Limited, visited the Corporate Office of Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL), Jammu, on 6 February 2026.
They were warmly received by Shri Ramesh Mukhiya, Managing Director, CVPPL, along with Shri Ram Swaroop, Executive Director, NHPC Regional Office Jammu; Shri M. K. Kashyap, CEO, RHPCL; and senior executives of CVPPL, NHPC & RHPCL.
During the visit, CMD, NHPC chaired a review meeting with the MD, CVPPL; ED, NHPC RO Jammu; CEO, RHPCL; and Heads of Departments of CVPPL. The meeting focused on key issues related to the ongoing construction activities of CVPPL projects & RHPCL as well as critical issues of NHPC. Emphasising the national importance of these projects, he stressed the need for their timely completion.
