Commencement of Dam Foundation Concreting at Kwar HE Project (540 MW) 04-Dec-2024

In a significant stride towards expeditious commissioning of Kwar HE Project (540MW), Pouring of Concrete on Deepest Foundation of Concrete Gravity Dam has been started w.e.f. 04.12.2024. The event was inaugurated through VC mode by Sh. R. K. Chaudhary, Hon'ble CMD, NHPC Ltd. & SJVN Ltd. in presence of Sh. S. K. Singh, Director (Projects. & Technical), NHPC Ltd., and Sh. Santosh Kumar, CVO, NHPC Ltd. Sh. Ramesh Mukhiya, MD (CVPPL), Shri S K Giri, GM-I/c-HOP and senior officials from NHPC, CVPPL and M/s Patel Engineering Ltd. graced the event from site and performed Puja.
Shri R K Chaudhary, congratulated the officials of NHPC, CVPPL and M/s Patel Engineering Limited on start of concreting one month ahead of planned schedule and urged Project officials to make all out efforts to use the current working season to achieve concreting above construction sluice level. The achievement of concreting above construction sluice will pave the way for continuous concreting in monsoon seasons and shall lead to early completion of Dam Construction. The achievement of concreting above under sluice level in this season will also make substantial saving in time and cost towards construction of Coffer Dam for one more season. The completion of Dam work is crucial for completion of Project and overall development of region as well as improvement in socio economic conditions of adjoining inhabitants.
