Transmission Line System for Evacuation of Power from Pakal Dul (1000 MW), Kiru (624 MW) and Kwar (540 MW) HE Projects of CVPPL in District Kishtwar, J&K 27-May-2025

In a significant development, Tower Erection of 400 kV Transmission Line System has been started on 27.05.2025 for 400 kV Double Circuit (Triple HTLS Conductor) Transmission Line from Pot Head Yard of Kiru HEP to Kishtwar Pooling Station including LILO of one Circuit of 400kV D/c (Triple HTLS Conductor) Kiru - Kishtwar line at Pot Head Yard of Kwar & Pakal Dul HE Projects.
Another milestone i.r.o the above said transmission system was also achieved recently, i.e. Accord of Approval by Ministry of Power, Govt. of India (under Section-164 of Electricity Act 2003) and NOC from Western Air Command, Indian Air Force, Ministry of Defence for laying of this 400 kV Transmission Line.
The said Transmission System shall evacuate the Generated Power from three Hydro Projects viz. Pakal Dul (1000 MW), Kiru (624 MW) and Kwar (540 MW) HE Projects of CVPPL which involves Construction of 400 kV Double Circuit (Triple HTLS Conductor) Transmission Line having length around 37 kms. This transmission line shall be completed in line with the Commissioning of these Hydro Projects.
