Chief Secretary J&K Inspects CVPPL Projects in Kishtwar, Reaffirms Government’s Commitment to Hydropower Development 17-May-2025

The Chief Secretary of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Atal Dulloo (IAS), conducted a comprehensive two-day visit to Kishtwar District from May 15th to 16th, 2025, to inspect the progress of all ongoing projects under Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL).

Shri Dulloo was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Sh. H. Rajesh Prasad (IAS), Principal Secretary to the Government, Power Development Department; Sh. Ramesh Mukhiya, Managing Director, CVPPL; Sh. Rahul Yadav (IAS), Managing Director, JKPDCL; Sh. Rajesh Kumar Shavan (JKAS), Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar; Sh. Naresh Singh, SSP Kishtwar; and other senior officers from the district administration and power sector.

Upon arrival in Kishtwar after visiting Ratle and Dulhasti Projects, the Chief Secretary was received by Sh. Ramesh Mukhiya, who provided an in-depth briefing on the current status of all CVPPL projects. Shri Dulloo chaired a detailed meeting with the Heads of Projects, where he patiently reviewed the challenges being encountered on the ground and assured full government support for timely resolutions.

On May 16th, the Chief Secretary, along with the delegation, visited all three hydropower project sites and conducted a meticulous inspection of the ongoing construction activities. During his visit, he interacted with officers and workers of the executing agencies and appreciated their dedication and hard work toward the realization of these nationally significant infrastructure projects.

Expressing satisfaction over the progress of the works, Shri Dulloo emphasized the need for concerted and coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to ensure timely completion of the projects. He stressed the importance of real-time issue resolution and assured continued support from the government for overcoming any bottlenecks.
